As I listened to your reading of research paper #1, I kept thinking about how the stages of masculinity in America, which you trace in your paper, support your thesis. In your thesis you state the white masculinity in America is defined by the self-made man ideology and is marked by self-control. But how does the history you trace illustrate this?
Clarity: Your paper seems really clear to me,and that clarity is maintained throughout all the reading. As a listener I know that the topic of your research paper is white male masculinity and how that masculinity is reinforced by white males themselves.
Coherence: Although each idea presented in each paragraph is coherent within the paragraph, sometimes i have trouble connected those idea to your thesis.
